Community Leadership Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 57-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cottondale Hornets. While the Lions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Hornets 17-10 in the first quarter.
Cottondale found their leader in sophomore Tramond Collins, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. What's more, Collins also racked up two assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Trashonn Collins, who earned 12 points along with five assists.
Community Leadership Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
Community Leadership Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Franklin County at 7:00 p.m. on December 3rd. As for Cottondale, they will challenge Marianna at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
