If Kaycee were riding high off their 46-19 takedown of Lingle-Fort Laramie two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Kaycee took a 43-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of HEM. Kaycee's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Meanwhile, NSI Academy scored well below their previous average of 59.5 points per game last Friday, but luckily it didn't cost them. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Rock River 2-0. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps national rankings were right on the nose.
Kaycee were fully in charge the last time the two teams met, breezing past NSI Academy 90-6. Whatever the outcome in this rematch, the match is bound to be a fierce one since these are two of the top teams in the state.
