After a string of four wins, Hawkinsville's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost to the Macon County Bulldogs at home by a 68-54 margin. The Red Devils were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in January of 2020.

The dominant performance gave Smith a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Tarigee Collier, who scored eight points and three steals.
Hawkinsville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Macon County, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.
Hawkinsville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-56 loss against Wilcox County on the 18th. Macon County has also already played their next match, a 71-59 win against Central on the 18th.
