After four games on the road, Manchester is heading back home. They will take on the Hanover-Horton Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Tuesday, Manchester was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 42-37 to Homer.
Meanwhile, Hanover-Horton's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 71-62 to Jonesville. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from JJ Russ, who scored eight points along with five steals. That's the first time this season that he grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Soper, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds.
Manchester's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-8. As for Hanover-Horton, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
Manchester barely slipped by Hanover-Horton in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 53-52. Does Manchester have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hanover-Horton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
