Baseball Recap: Omaha North Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Omaha North waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Omaha Northwest Huskies as they made off with a 13-3 win. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by seven runs or more this season.

Chance Kinman and Eli Murry were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Kinman tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Murry tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Omaha North is undefeated when he allows at most three earned runs, but 4-6 otherwise. At the plate, Kinman went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Murry went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double. That's the most hits Kinman has posted since back in March.

In other pitching news, Sam Cooper looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, Omaha North got a big performance out of Caleb Kinman, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ben O'Neill, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

Omaha North kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Omaha North now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Omaha Northwest, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
