Jordan-Matthews was the  3-0 winner over Seaforth when they last played one another  last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Jordan-Matthews Jets fell just short of the Seaforth Hawks by a score of  5-4 on Friday. Jordan-Matthews has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Kelton Fuquay put in work no matter where he played. He  struck out seven batters over  six innings while giving up  four earned  (and one unearned) runs off   eight  hits. Fuquay was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Jake Bowden was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with a  home run and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Ian McMillan, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Jordan-Matthews' defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Seaforth, they pushed their record up to 14-4 with that  win, which was their third straight  at home.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jordan-Matthews will take on Southeast Alamance at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Seaforth, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Moore at 2:30  p.m.  on Saturday. Seaforth's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3  runs per game  this season, so North Moore's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
