The Glendale Nitros had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Vista Murrieta on Friday and snuck past 2-1. The victory was nothing new for Glendale as they're now sitting on four straight.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Kevin Anjunyan and
Alejandro Nunez, who scored both of Glendale's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 13 so far this season.
Glendale has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2-2 record this season. As for Vista Murrieta, their loss dropped their record down to 17-6-2.
Glendale will square off against Bell Gardens at TBD on Tuesday. Glendale is coming into the contest with four straight wins on the road, so Bell Gardens is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. Vista Murrieta does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
