They took their contest on the road on Thursday with ease, bagging a 73-40 win over Union Pines. Winning may never get old, but Richmond sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Richmond's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madisen Jackson, who scored 24 points along with nine rebounds. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for her. Jamyia "Juicy" Lindsey was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds.
Richmond's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points per game. As for Union Pines, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.
Richmond will face off against Trinity Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Trinity Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 224th, while Richmond is ranked 50th). As for Union Pines, they will be playing at home against Hoke County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
