After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Magna Vista, Bassett was happy to have turned things around  on Friday. They blew past the Martinsville Bulldogs 51-14. The Bengals haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive  win against them.
 David Cook was  his usual excellent self, rushing for 21 yards and one  TD, while also throwing for 78 yards and one  touchdown. His passing game has become a key predictor of Bassett's success: the team is 5-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-3 otherwise.
