The St. Johns Redskins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 23 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 68-8 win over Greyhills Academy at home. That 68-8 margin sets a new team best for St. Johns this season.
Kayme Smith was the offensive standout of the matchup as she scored 15 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Pulsipher, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
St. Johns' victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Greyhills Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
St. Johns will head out on the road to face off against Round Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Round Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 77th, while St. Johns is ranked 17th). Greyhills Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Many Farms at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Many Farms is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
