Baseball Recap: Mountain Island Charter Takes a Loss

Mountain Island Charter was the 2-1 winner over Corvian Community when they last played one another on Wednesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Raptors took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals on Thursday.

Mountain Island Charter saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Liam Berger, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. The Raptors are 2-1 when Berger posts two or more runs, but 3-11 otherwise.

Mountain Island Charter's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Corvian Community, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.

Mountain Island Charter will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bradford Prep at 5:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Corvian Community, they will venture away from home to take on Piedmont Community Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
