The Geneva Panthers waltzed into their match on Wednesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They secured a 35-31 W over Andalusia. That's another feather in the cap for Geneva, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Geneva's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Simone Minnifield led the charge by scoring 12 points. Minnifield continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kaden Ward, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds and three steals.
Geneva's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points per game. As for Andalusia, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
Geneva didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 51-43 defeat vs. UMS-Wright Prep on the 9th. Andalusia has also already played their next matchup, a 57-17 defeat against Orange Beach on the 9th.
