Quarterbacks from California took up seven of the top 20 spots among the weekly football national stat leaders list including the top two performances last week.
Jake Geringer of Newbury Park led all passers in yardage with 482 yards in a loss to Moorpark (Calif.). Meanwhile Michael Bercovici racked up 474 yards in a win over Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks, Calif.).
Also making the top 20 list from California were R.J. Gordon of Campbell Hall, Tony Rodriguez of Brookside Christian, Conner Preston of Serra, DJ Lopez of Gahr and Oscar Reyes of Tulare Union.
One familiar name among the receivers list is Dorial Green-Beckham of Hillcrest (Springfield, Mo.), who was the MaxPreps National Athlete of the Year last season as a sophomore. He had 217yards receiving in a loss to Camdenton last week.
