Northfield is a perfect 3-0 against Rangeview since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Nighthawks will welcome the Raiders at 10:00 a.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Rangeview will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Northfield extended their winning streak to five two weeks ago. Everything went the Nighthawks' way against Vista PEAK Prep as they made off with an 8-2 victory. The Nighthawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six runs or more this season.
Mason Brennan made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Northfield kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Rangeview, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They never let Hinkley get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Tuesday. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Thunder recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Like Northfield, Rangeview also got a great game from a two-way player: Ryan Luevanos. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Luevanos has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
In other batting news, Oscar Lemus was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.
Rangeview pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Northfield, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Rangeview's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Northfield hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .325. It's a different story for Rangeview, though, as they've only averaged .253. Will they be able to contain Northfield's hitters?
Everything went Northfield's way against Rangeview in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Northfield made off with a 17-0 victory. Do the Nighthawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
