The Hillsboro Hiltoppers can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Pana and snuck past 43-40. The win was just what Hillsboro needed coming off of a 80-60 defeat in their prior matchup.
It was another big night for Jace Stewart, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Nathan Matoush, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Hillsboro's victory bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Pana, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.
Hillsboro will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Civic Memorial at 7:00 p.m. As for Pana, they will head out on the road to challenge Father McGivney Catholic at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Father McGivney Catholic is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
