Kade Stewart posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Thursday. He didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. He was up against Holgate and has quite the history against that squad, as he also had a great game the last time he faced them back in April of 2024. Stewart has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

Looking ahead, Stewart and North Central will welcome Montpelier at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles have some work to do to even out the 2-7 series between these two since May of 2019, but a win here would be a good start.
