Windthorst is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since March 7, 2025 on Monday. They came up short against Petrolia, falling 19-10. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Chloe Schroeder was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Karissa Fillingam, who went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Electra faced off against Seymour on Monday. The Tigers lost 25-3 to the Panthers.
Brylee Thaggard and Vanessa Esparza did some serious damage despite the final result: Thaggard went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run, while Esparza went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Keionna Gaines also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Electra's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Windthorst, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6-1.
Friday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Windthorst has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .466. However, it's not like Electra struggles in that department as they've averaged .593. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
