Rockingham County has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Northeast Guilford Rams at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Leadership Academy scored an imposing 56 points on Saturday, Rockingham County still came out on top. Rockingham County walked away with a 66-56 win over Leadership Academy. The victory was just what Rockingham County needed coming off of a 92-52 loss in their prior game.
Dalton Johnson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Rockingham County's points. Luke Strittmatter was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with ten rebounds.
Northeast Guilford can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They came out on top against NCSSM: Durham by a score of 51-38. The victory was just what Northeast Guilford needed coming off of a 86-57 defeat in their prior contest.
Rockingham County's record is now 6-10. Northeast Guilford's record now sits at 5-7.
Rockingham County came up short against Northeast Guilford when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 69-62. Thankfully for Rockingham County, AMARI TATE (who scored 19 points along with five steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
