Even though the DuPont Manual Crimsons scored an imposing 74 points on Saturday, Great Crossing still came out on top. Great Crossing walked away with a 82-74 win over DuPont Manual. The win made it back-to-back wins for Great Crossing.
Great Crossing's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Vince Dawson, who scored 24 points along with 7 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Dawson has scored at least 25% of Great Crossing's points. Another player making a difference was Junius Burrell, who scored 20 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals.
Great Crossing's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for DuPont Manual, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Great Crossing has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Franklin County at 6:00 p.m. on December 6th. DuPont Manual will take on Pleasure Ridge Park at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
