Given Le Roy's advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 165th, while Penn Yan Academy/Dundee is ranked 416th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Tony Piazza went supernova for Le Roy, rushing for 163 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. Jackson Fix was another key contributor, gaining 80 total yards and two touchdowns.
Le Roy's win was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.0 points per game. As for Penn Yan Academy/Dundee, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Le Roy will look to defend their home field on Friday against East Rochester-Gananda at 7:00 p.m. East Rochester-Gananda will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. Penn Yan Academy/Dundee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
