Barlow scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 67-54 to the Crater Comets. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Comets are ranked first).

This is the second loss in a row for Barlow and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Crater, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Barlow will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Glencoe at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Crater, they and Saint Joseph will face off at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Crater knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matchups -- so hopefully Saint Joseph likes a good challenge.
