After only two runs in their last match, Sulphur made sure to put some runs up on the board against New Iberia on Thursday. Sulphur put the hurt on New Iberia with a sharp 10-1 victory. This was a revenge game for the Golden Tors: when they faced off against the Yellowjackets last Tuesday, they had to take a 6-2 defeat.

Sulphur's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-14. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for New Iberia, their loss dropped their record down to 17-10.

Looking ahead, Sulphur will be playing at home against Lafayette at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for New Iberia, they are taking a road trip to challenge Carencro at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. New Iberia is facing Carencro at the right time seeing as Carencro is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
