AAAA Region 6B recap November 5, 2013
Charlie Patrick of Carver ran for the longest rushing play in AAAA Region 6B this season against Grady last week. Patrick scampered for 57 yards on the play and finished with 122 on the day as his team defeated the Knights.
Banneker moved up to 249 from 280 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Trojans were able to move up by beating Washington 50-44.
Carver's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jordan Holden threw for 205 yards and Joseph Mosley had 88 yards receiving. On the ground Patrick chipped in 122 yards. Tevish Clark helped Carver's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 60 yards.
Patrick was the best running back in the league this week. Teammate Gregory Payton added to the ground attack by rushing for 119 yards.
Carver's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Holden has thrown for 1,264 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Clark has 22 catches for 472 yards.
Darren Myles' team added to the longest winning streak in AAAA Region 6B this week by beating Grady, 28-7. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Panthers.
