Unity Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight  loss. They fell  60-53 to Ahoskie Christian. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  71-66  back in December of 2024.
 Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Trey Whitehurst, who  dropped  a double-double on 11 points and 11  rebounds.  Talen Swanner was another key player,  going 6 for 8  on his way to 13  points and five  boards.
 Ahoskie Christian found their leader in freshman  Jaelen Rascoe, who  dropped  a double-double on 21 points and 15  rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which  Rascoe has scored at least a third of Ahoskie Christian's points. Another player making a difference was  Tyler Martin, who  posted 16  points and three  steals.
Unity Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Ahoskie Christian, their victory  ended  a  five-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 7-12.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Unity Christian Academy will face off against Calvary Baptist Church at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Ahoskie Christian, they will take on Mount Calvary Christian Academy at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. Ahoskie Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.5  points per game  this season.
