There's no place like home for Hoover, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 64-38 margin over the St. Monica Academy Crusaders on Friday. The Tornados have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Hoover is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for St. Monica Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

Hoover will be taking part in a tournament against Hawthorne at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hoover knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Hawthorne likes a good challenge. As for St. Monica Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Trinity Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
