After losing to the Rivercrest Rebels the last time they met, the Detroit Eagles decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Detroit walked away with a 47-39 win over Rivercrest on Friday.
When it comes to explaining why Rivercrest lost, one person who can't be blamed is Anna Duvall. Despite the final result, she scored five points along with 11 rebounds and eight steals. Those eight steals set a new season-high mark for her. Claire Grider was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Detroit's win bumped their record up to 8-18. As for Rivercrest, they bumped their record down to 8-16 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Detroit will take on Harts Bluff at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rivercrest, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Maud at 5:00 p.m. on January 9th.
