New Albany was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight  defeat. They took  a  70-54 bruising from the Evansville Reitz Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the  55-47 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in November of 2023.
  Bailey Hape was  her usual excellent self,  almost  dropping  a double-double on 25 points and nine  steals for Evansville Reitz. Hape is trending in the right direction considering she's  improved her point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of  Keilah Mitchell, who  went 8 for 15 en route to 23 points plus five  steals.
 New Albany's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Evansville Reitz, the  victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
 New Albany will be staying on the road  on Tuesday to face off against Bloomington North at 7:30  p.m. As for Evansville Reitz, they will have some time to savor their  win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Evansville Mater Dei at 7:00  p.m.  on December 4th.
