After losing to the Conrad Chargers the last time they met, the Adams Cougars decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Adams came out on top against Conrad by a score of 60-51 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Adams.
Adams' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keiontay Marsh, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Terell Toomas, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Adams is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 15-18 record this season. As for Conrad, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-18.
Adams will be playing at home against Spruce at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Adams is facing Spruce at the right time seeing as Spruce is stuck on a 22-game losing streak. As for Conrad, they will head out on the road to take on Samuell at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Conrad will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 896th, while Samuell is ranked 417th).
