The Williams Vikings can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent contest on Saturday. They breezed by Grand Canyon at home to the tune of 62-16. The victory was just what Williams needed coming off of a 75-45 loss in their prior matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Williams to victory, but perhaps none more so than JP Echeverria, who scored 14 points. Echeverria continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nickoli Cody, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Williams' win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-9. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points per game. As for Grand Canyon, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-21.
Williams and Seligman will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Seligman's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests. As for Grand Canyon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Michael at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
