Cypress Falls is 1-6 against Cypress Ranch since October of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Cypress Falls Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cypress Ranch Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Cypress Falls entered their tilt with Cypress Park with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Cypress Falls walked away with a 28-17 victory over Cypress Park on Friday. Given Cypress Falls' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 211th, while Cypress Park is ranked 741st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cypress Falls can attribute much of their success to Kye Callicoattee, who threw for 190 yards and three touchdowns. Ajani Cargile also helped out with an impressive 108 receiving yards.
Cypress Falls' defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Romeo Johnson and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, Cypress Ranch put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They put the hurt on Langham Creek with a sharp 56-35 victory. 56 seems to be a good number for Cypress Ranch as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Cypress Falls is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Cypress Ranch, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.
Cypress Falls was able to grind out a solid win over Cypress Ranch in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, winning 34-27. Does Cypress Falls have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cypress Ranch turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
