Adding to the longest winning streak in Montgomery County 2A/3A this week, Damascus beat Wheaton 55-6. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
The Knights lost to Damascus 55-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Dominyck Sims ran for 56 yards in the defeat.
Wheaton's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Knights feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Mikey Patterson Jr has thrown for 489 yards and 2 touchdowns this season, while Teddy Boumboulis has 19 catches for 269 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Einstein takes on Watkins Mill. At the moment, the Titans are in fourth, while the Wolverines are in fifth.
Seneca Valley made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,931 from 4,475. The advance stemmed from a 49-12 victory over Einstein last week.
