Baseball Recap: Southern Christian Takes a Loss

Southern Christian lost against Chambers Academy back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Patriots took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rebels. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jagger Scott was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Southern Christian is 5-2 when Scott posts two or more stolen bases, but 2-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jedd Scott, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Southern Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Chambers Academy, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southern Christian will face off against Wiregrass at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Chambers Academy, they will challenge Hooper Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rebels are facing the Colts at the right time seeing as the Colts are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
