The Farmville Central Jaguars's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Northeastern Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on December 13th. One thing working in Farmville Central's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Even though Northern Nash scored an imposing 57 points on Saturday, Farmville Central still came out on top. Farmville Central blew past Northern Nash 82-57. Fans of Farmville Central have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Farmville Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than JD Daniels, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for Daniels. Another player making a difference was Mykal "MJ" Williams, who scored 12 points along with eight assists and three steals.
Meanwhile, Northeastern really took it to Perquimans for the full four quarters, racking up a 82-19 victory on the road. With Northeastern ahead 54-11 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Northeastern's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Unique Blount led the charge by scoring 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyell Saunders, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Farmville Central pushed their record up to 4-0 with that victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 38 points. As for Northeastern, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Fans should be in for an exciting game on Wednesday as Farmville Central and Northeastern are among the highest scoring teams in the league right now. Farmville Central hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 85 points per game. However, it's not like Northeastern struggles in that department as they've been averaging 82 points per game. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Everything came up roses for Farmville Central against Northeastern when the teams last played back in March of 2021 as the squad secured a 113-76 victory. Does Farmville Central have another victory up their sleeve, or will Northeastern turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
