Ellis has won seven straight games at home, while Bucklin has won seven straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Railroaders will welcome the Red Aces at 4:00 p.m. Ellis will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
Ellis came out on top against Plainville on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive 12-run third inning. The Railroaders put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 16-1 victory. The Railroaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

Ellis got a massive performance out of Ben Byers, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave Byers a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Aschenbrenner, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Ellis hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in seven consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Bucklin beat Stanton County 5-1 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Red Aces in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won four in a row.
Lucas Kirk spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, JT Prusa was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Jack Herd was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Ellis has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Bucklin, their win bumped their record up to 12-4.
Both Ellis and Bucklin just can't seem to miss. The Railroaders have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Bucklin struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 2.9 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Ellis took their victory against Bucklin in their previous meeting back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 14-3 score. Do the Railroaders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Aces turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
