Golden State Prep lost against Bay Tech back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Golden State Prep received a tough blow as they fell 62-47 to Bay Tech. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Golden State Prep in their matchups with Bay Tech: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the defeat, Golden State Prep saw an underclassman step up: Biren Lowe scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Antonio Campbell, who scored 11 points.
Leading Bay Tech to victory were Cory Robinson and Rashawn Richard. Robinson scored 14 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds, while Richard dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Yandel Becerra was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 10 rebounds.
Golden State Prep bumped their record down to 5-2 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Bay Tech, the win got them back to even at 1-1-1.
Golden State Prep will stay at home for another game and welcome Oakland Military Institute at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. As for Bay Tech, they will head out on the road to face off against Madison Park Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
