The Loganville Red Devils can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 78-66 win over Heritage. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the defeat, Heritage had strong showings from Kirk Seeley, who scored 21 points, and Donavyn Gates, who scored 16 points. Seeley scored a full 31.8% of Heritage's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Gary Oliver, who scored seven points.
Loganville's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Loganville will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lambert at 2:00 p.m. on December 28th. Lambert presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Loganville in Georgia (Lambert is ranked 85th, while Loganville is ranked 354th). Heritage will be home for the holidays to greet Stockbridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
