Baseball Recap: Franklin Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Franklin extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday, bumping them up to 6-7. They were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Westgate Tigers. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won four contests by six runs or more so far this season.

As for Westgate, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5. The defeat continues a trend for them in their meetings with Franklin: they've now lost four in a row.

For Westgate's part, ARYO FLEMING was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. FLEMING is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of DAYLAN DOUCET, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin will head out to square off against Church Point at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Westgate, they will challenge Centerville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
