There's no place like home for the Berea Pirates, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 66-50 win over Belfry on Saturday. For Berea, this counts as revenge for the 62-58 loss Belfry walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Several Pirates players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carter Jude, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Makaden Maynard, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Berea has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Belfry, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Berea will take on Somerset Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Belfry, they will head out on the road to take on Grundy at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Grundy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 382 points over their last five contests.
