A feisty cat fight will be fought as Flagler Panthers take on Granada Bobcats at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Flagler took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 57-25 win over Cotopaxi. Flagler's victory was all the more impressive since the Pirates were averaging only 28.09 points allowed on the season.

Flagler got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Rylie Berry out in front who posted 14 points along with eight boards and three blocks. Berry is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sydnie Berry, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten boards.
Flagler smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games.
Meanwhile, after only 24 points in their last match, Granada made sure to put some points up on the board against Primero on Saturday. Granada breezed past Primero to the tune of 57-20. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-6.
Granada's win came from a few key players Flagler will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Dayzriana Quintana, who went 6-for-15 on her way to 16 points in addition to seven rebounds and seven steals. Granada is 10-5 when Quintana posts three or more steals, but 3-4 otherwise. Kinsley Williams was another key player, dropping a double-double with 13 points and ten boards.
Flagler has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.2 points over those games. Granada's victory bumped their record up to 13-9.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Flagler has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 34.7 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Granada struggles in that department as they've been averaging 34.1 boards.
