The Jones Trojans waltzed into their game Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Rockport-Fulton 60-29 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-16.
Kaydence Menchaca was her usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with five steals. Danielle Gonzales was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds.
Jones has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a massive bump to their 15-10 record this season. As for Rockport-Fulton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-17.
Jones will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against West Oso at 6:15 p.m. West Oso is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Rockport-Fulton, they will face off against Calhoun at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
