On Thursday, The Dobie Longhorns got themselves on the board against the Sam Rayburn Texans, but the Sam Rayburn Texans never followed suit. They breezed by the Texans on the road to the tune of 64-0. The victory was nothing new for Dobie as they're now sitting on five straight.
It was another big night for Cameron Mathews, who rushed for 108 yards and three touchdowns. Mathews is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played. Bryce Evans was another major influence, as he rushed for 83 yards and ran in a TD.
Dobie's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.8 points per game. As for Sam Rayburn, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Dobie will be playing in front of their home fans against South Houston at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. South Houston is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Sam Rayburn, they will head out on the road to face off against Deer Park at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Deer Park has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 328 points over their last seven contests.
