Basketball Game Preview: Freeport Pretzels vs. Rockford East E-Rabs

Freeport has gone 9-1 against Rockford East recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Freeport Pretzels will host the Rockford East E-Rabs at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Freeport has five straight wins, Rockford East has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Freeport will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Boylan Catholic, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Freeport came out on top against Boylan Catholic by a score of 56-49 on Tuesday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Freeport to victory, but perhaps none more so than Keagan Huggins, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 18 boards. The matchup was Huggins' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Paityn London, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.

Meanwhile, Rockford East played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Harlem and fell 64-12. The contest marked the E-Rabs' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Freeport is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points per game. As for Rockford East, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.
