It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Columbia had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They beat the Richmond Heights Spartans by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 54-40. The Raiders are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 14 straight.
Columbia got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Bree Heidecker out in front who went 10-for-17 to rack up 20 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn Miller, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine assists.
Columbia was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Columbia's win bumped their record up to 21-5. As for Richmond Heights, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-7.
