OROSI, Calif. - After trading leads two times,
Farmersville (Calif.) snatched the lead for good when
Anthony Azevedo ran for a touchdown in the second quarter, paving the way for victory over Orosi (Calif.) 61-28.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Azevedo in the second quarter, the Aztecs led 33-28 at the half.
Farmersville grew its lead to 18 points entering the fourth quarter. FHS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown.
The Aztecs secured its victory by scoring 15 points in the fourth quarter to push the final margin to 33.
Sam Metcalf played well for Farmersville in the victory. The junior quarterback threw two touchdowns and ran for one touchdown. He has now scored eight touchdowns on the season.
