Greece Olympia scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They managed a 64-59 victory over World of Inquiry. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Greece Olympia has managed all season.
Meanwhile, Eastridge pushed their score all the way to 62 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 71-62 to Monroe. While losing is never fun, Eastridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 324th, while Monroe is ranked 117th).
Greece Olympia's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-6. As for Eastridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
Greece Olympia might still be hurting after the 73-53 defeat they got from Eastridge in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Greece Olympia avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
