Given Clear Creek's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 300th, while Clear Springs is ranked 1055th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
When it comes to explaining why Clear Springs lost, one person who can't be blamed is Amirah Gray. Despite the final result, she scored ten points. Gray scored a full 47.6% of Clear Springs' points, the 12th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Clear Creek is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Clear Springs, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-21.
Clear Creek will head out on the road to face off against Dickinson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Dickinson knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 15 games -- so hopefully Clear Creek likes a good challenge. As for Clear Springs, they will be playing at home against Clear Brook at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Clear Brook is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
