Killingly has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Windham Whippets at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
On Saturday, Killingly came up short against the Bobcats and fell 48-35.
Meanwhile, Windham can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Saturday. They breezed by Plainfield at home to the tune of 55-26. Winning may never get old, but Windham sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
It was another big night for Aniya Jenkins, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. She also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaelize Rivera, who scored nine points along with eight assists and five steals.
Killingly has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Windham, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-3.
Killingly strolled past the Whippets when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a score of 49-32. The rematch might be a little tougher for Killingly since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
