The Junction Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Mason Punchers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
If Junction beats Mason with 19 runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Everything went the Eagles' way against Center Point on Monday as they made off with a 19-2 victory. With that win, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.
Alicia Villanueva made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Villanueva was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one triple. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

In other batting news, Daniella Martinez was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and one triple. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Joy, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one triple.
Junction always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .730. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Mason waltzed into their game on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Eagles 13-1. Considering the Punchers have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Mason now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Junction, their record is now 5-10.
Everything went Junction's way against Mason in their previous meeting back in February, as Junction made off with a 20-6 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Punchers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
