Despite their loss, Walnut Grove Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Robbie Adams, who scored 18 points, was perhaps the best of all. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Adams has scored all season. Ben Heitzmann was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Meanwhile, Lee Park Prep stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They put the hurt on NorthPoint Christian Academy with a sharp 66-41 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lee Park Prep.
Lee Park Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaac Watkins, who dropped a triple-double on 18 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists. Watkins has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole O' Donoghue, who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds.
Walnut Grove Christian dropped their record down to 3-16 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Lee Park Prep, their win bumped their record up to 13-4.
Walnut Grove Christian was taken down by the Knights 74-32 when the teams last played on Monday. Can Walnut Grove Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
