Central faced McIntosh in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Lions fell 2-0 to the Chiefs. The Lions' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Macey Mount paced Central's offense, picking up 11 kills. Mount got some help from Abby Kreft and her 16 assists.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 26-8. As for McIntosh, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-7 record this season.

Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Midtown on the 20th. As for McIntosh, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against St. Vincent's on the 20th.
